"Hot Flashes" and Congratulations!

My shipment of books arrived yesterday!! Yes, I stayed up late last night reading "Hot Flashes From Heaven!"





Girlfriends! This book is smart, sassy, and soothing for the soul! Ronna Snyder is a no-nonsense, pull out all the stops, get-real kinda gal. Actually, I've never had the pleasure(?) of experiencing a mammogram yet... but I hear that meeting up with a girlfriend afterward at a froo-froo joint to indulge in lots of gooey chocolate does wonders to soothe the soul (kind of like when we were little and getting a sticker made up for the torture of an immunization shot). But I digress.





Where I was going with that is... Ronna has taken the whole menopause experience and... given us a "sticker" for being big girls. And she accomplishes this so beautifully and eloquently in the way she shares her own real-life experiences, validating ours along the way.





Okay, now for the Winners! Yep, you read that right. There's 2. That's because my friend, Dani R., who is stationed here in Germany, emailed me first. And the very next email was from Lori M. in the states!! So I said to myself, "Self, you have an 'Overseas' Winner and a 'Stateside' Winner." And I've decided to give a book to each of them. CONGRATULATIONS DANI AND LORI!!
