No Fear!

I went to part of a Prayer Vigil last night at the Base Chapel. The children went with me and played quietly in the back room. LeRoy and a buddy went to go see the new James Bond movie. We were all exactly where we needed to be.

Today I was supposed to be "kicked out" of the house due to a familial intervention in which it was decided (mostly by my wise husband) that some "time away" would benefit everyone. (Meaning Mama goes away for a time and hopefully returns... rational once again.) But it hasn't happened that way. Before I left, I wanted to download some recent pictures from off our camera onto the computer and ended up spending about three hours trying to figure out what went wrong, why the pictures are on the camera but they apparently did not load onto the SanDisc and therefore will not load from the camera onto the computer. (Any computer savvy geniuses who might have advice on this, please let me know!) Anyway, in the process of trying everything I could think of, I kept getting distracted with perusing old "albums." Man! We're having a plethora of good times over here! The morning ended up being a time of reminiscing and laughing together as a family as the six of us huddled around the computer monitor, looking at pictures and remembering stories.

Finally, LeRoy told the children that he was implementing quiet time for everyone, (meaning he's ready for his coveted weekend nap time), and sent them all to their beds. I've given up, (for now), on trying to transfer those pictures and decided to post some old photos instead. Besides, these are pretty representative of where we feel we are at in our lives right now! I guess these are sort of "metaphorical images" as we sense we're in the process of ramping up the intensity level of our vision and goals for the next year.

Although Zeke didn't feel quite ready to jump his bike, he practised getting as much air as possible by running and leaping off the ramp.
